A Paige added to the book of Hatch
Not really much to say as I sorta said it all last night, but I am relieved that it's over as far as the waiting and hoping and nervousness. We didn't get any pictures this time round, bummer, but I think that Paige was moving around too much to have gotten any good pictures anyway. The technician wasn't very chatty, as we have had in the past, I wanted to joke with her and ask her if she could see a little crown floating around in there with her. :)
On a side note, I used The Gimp for the first time on Lappy and it was the easiest it's ever been. Windows does not like The Gimp and tends to act slow and almost like a preteen when I tried to use it in the past saying to me, "ohhhh, do I have to use this program, ohhh man! do you have to add a layer? Ohhhh, forget it, I am running away and taking my memory banks with me..." stall stall stall and then usually an error message that reminds me of me having a tantrum in a busy home (uh, not all that busy compared to mine now though) at 16 and trying to slam the bathroom door.
Bye Bye Windows and THANKS Ubuntu for being friends with The Gimp ... it was simple to add a bow to the u/s that we have :)
For my Baby Six
This is a note not necessarily to you all, but to Six so that later when Six gets to read it, they will know that even though all of my thoughts towards Six have been on wanting a girl, I truly love this child no matter what.
Whether you are a boy or a girl or even going to let us know tomorrow morning, I, and your Daddy have loved you since God allowed you into our lives. We mourned your lack of being around before the thought of you even occurred to us. You are growing inside of my belly and your brothers and sister are happy to have you already. Six, we do love you and look forward to meeting you in 20 weeks or so. So, if you feel Momma getting upset or anxious about your gender, know that this is just a response to the overwhelming change that bringing you into our lives will mean to your busy, loud and hilarious family. Daddy, for the record is still convinced that you are a girl. We will either find out tomorrow or the day you choose to come join us outside Momma's tummy but always know that we love you Baby Six!

I think I have blogged about this before, or at least made a comment or two about it.
Parenting to Sleep
~something I hope that Six will not need me to do~
I am sitting here on Jacobs bed,
just waiting for them to lay down their heads.
To fall asleep they need me to guide,
To rest, to be still and to lay on their sides.
"Please fall asleep," is what I've had to say,
From the evening bedtime to the napping at day,
But during the day, they are full of gust
Even though at 32 months napping is a MUST.
BUT Hooray for my Lappy as I sit here with glee
One kid, little Jack, is asleep the other, Jake eying me intently.
I am sure that soon enough, he will close his little eyes
And soon, I'll sneak out with a quiet, "YES!" and a few sighs
For relief comes to me with 90 minutes of quiet
Because here, the dinner hour does bring a riot.......
Peace is with me, thank God, that's for sure,
It helps my head to remain quiet and my heart to remain pure.

After 5 days of fighting with Lappy (it's a tad of a dinosaur):
- one day was trying to install windows XPukes and realizing that I had chosen the wrong partition, it was only 4GB (you can't upgrade to SP2 without have a HUGE amount of space...anywaaaaaay.....
- one day was spent downloading, burning and installing Ubuntu 8.04 the rest of that day was spent trying to get the wireless USB adapter running....good luck Linux world on that one...it doesn't work.....
- the following day was the same thing only I was away for half of it, and ran my family....in all my spare time I have been trying to get this thing going!
- the fourth day I spent in bed with some kind of stomache bug, and could barely stand up I REALLY wanted the wireless to work but uh, well, again GOOD LUCK Linux world with a USB 2wire wireless adapter - ndiswrapper, wicd NOR madwifi would make it work!
- Today, I gave up and looked up wireless adapter online to find that Linksys is a desert for Linux support because for whatever reason you can't make a "package" to work for any of them but that D-Link is pretty much okay with any Linux based O/S making it "plug and play" which again is not a Linux term, enter new term "out of the box" so, after installing Ubuntu for the 4th time and having to change my security on my router probably 20 times and having some sort of geekygirl power, I am wireless!!!! well, I have always been but now Lappy is too. I didn't really understand what Andre meant when he said that I wouldn't really know what I didn't know until I installed it, Andre......I totally didn't know any of the stuff that I know now ;)
